Jos [double] is a series of glass vessels for a double-sided use. The motif of the double-sided vessel can be found in the designs of the Wiener Werkstätte – particularly of Josef Hoffmann – in a repeated and varying shape. For the glass series Jos [double], this kind of adding or stacking was adapted: seven different individual shapes were thus created. In the next step, they were manufactured from glass and put together in the most diverse combinations. In this way, double-sidedly usable, thin-walled glass objects are created, which also evoke ambiguous associations. For this collection glasses are CNC cutted in different patterns or titanized with a golden surface.

Das Motiv der Doppelschale ist in den Entwürfen der Wiener Werkstätte – Im Besonderen von Josef Hoffmann – immer wieder in unterschiedlicher Form zu finden. Für die Glasserie Jos [double] wurde diese Form der Addition oder des Stapels mit Hilfe einer ausgemusterten Privatsammlung an Tupperware nach-empfunden. 7 verschiedene Einzelformen sind dabei entstanden, welche nun aus Glas hergestellt und zu unterschiedlichsten Kombinationen zusammen gefügt werden. Dabei entstehen zweiseitig nutzbare, dünnwandige Glasobjekte, welche ebenso zweideutige Assoziationen hervorrufen: Josef Hoffmann meets Tupperware? Sowohl die Kombination aus mattierten und glänzenden Glasteilen, als auch die Wahl der Farben unterstreichen das Oszillieren des Entwurfes zwischen diesen zwei Polen.
